Inside Deep Throat

I found out about this movie from, of all places, my company website! (I work in media, but for a very corporate-starched-white-color company).
I actually used to own Deep Throat. During my senior year of hs I did a term paper on the Sexual Revolution and related first amendment items. Deep Throat was such a landmark film that I felt as though it would benefit my paper to see it. So off I went to the local video store, only to find out that it was going out of business (turns out that Blockbuster down the street was killing it). What was I to do? The clerk said I could buy it for just $5. That seemed reasonable and so I returned home with the movie. My mother thought it was amusing that I bought it.
My boyfriend and I then sat down to watch it and no...this is not going where you think it is...I had a notebook and pen to take notes. I was 18 and watching mom-sanctioned porn in my own living room with my boyfriend and what do I do? I fell asleep. It was such an uncompelling movie. Not much plot, not too sexy (bruises on the star actress made me wonder how she got them).
The boyfriend is long gone. I got an A on my paper. But what had become of the movie? I recently asked my mom what happened to it. Apparently she accidentally threw it away when I was in college. I don't think she's hiding it anywhere. (She watched it once out of curiosity and also fell asleep during it. Awkward teen moment- come into living room to find that mom has fallen asleep during porn).
