Porny Issues

Figleaf has some good thoughts here. I am almost unable to get turned on by what he terms Industrial Porn. Something about the women not being in control ever, not just fake tits but badly done fake tits, hairless bodies of all genders, scary peroxide blonde hair, too many facials, the faux-hetero leading men, bad lighting, sloppy oral sex (lip smacking noises are not a turn on), obviously faked orgasms........I could go on and on. Sloppy production values are somehow more excusable in amateur porn. There are professionals who make porn, including some who went to real film schools and just need the cash as well as those who chose to do it for whatever reason, but just because this is not a Scorsese epic they are working on should not be an excuse for the lighting to be more unflattering than it is in a supermarket.
